The 2018 Snowbird Nationals are now forever in the history books! Jerry and myself want to sincerely thank everyone that supported East Coast Oval this year. We started ECO after the 2017 Snowbirds over a late night phone call and didn’t officially launch until early May. I put a site together and a facebook and we have been full force ahead ever since! Many late nights, and lost sleep we will never get back all for the love of toy cars! All of that was forgotten once we got to witness a sea of ECO motors, shirts and stickers all across the snowbirds pits. That’s a feeling that I cant describe, and once again we greatly appreciate the support! We will continue on the genuine idea that the racer comes first!
We would like to commend some racers on their finishes;
In 21.5 Truck Henry Green qualified 4th and battled it out with Mike Carson until the end! It was a great main to watch and once the race was over Henry Finished 4th!
In 17.5 Stock Bill Malicoat on TQing all four rounds, and then going on to win the 17.5 Fantom Stock A-Main against the toughest racers in the nation. You worked all year long and this couldn’t have happened to a more hardworking racer and a great friend!
In 13.5 Spec Ryan Weeks for his great 3rd place finish in the A-Main. After a last minute decision to attend the race, he put his HBS on the podium! Lots of hardwork this year and ECO couldn’t be happier with this finish! Also to Steve Miller on his finish, he wheeled his way all the way to the front in the main. Thank you for all the help!
In 13.5 Open Kevin Koback laying it down with a solid 2nd place finish! We tried so many different combos to keep you on pace and I glad we landed on what we did. Brian Ragsdale on his 4th place qualifying, you had some steam in the main and its unfortunate the way it ended. Casey Rasgdale winning the B-Main and bumping up. Im going to have to show Big Country how to go easier on those sensor wires!
MuddBoss Steve Rule and Carl Jeffcoat are some of the best people to be around! Thank you so much for all the work you put into your Mudboss to give ECO a good showing.
